Zingy Veggie-Packed Medicine Juice
This “juice” is a veggie and herb packed meal and is super refreshing on a hot day. There aren’t a lot of rules here, and it’s a great way to pack in the herbs in an easy to take and delicious way. In fact, you can get up to the equivalent of 20 capsules (5g) of herbs in one cup of juice!
Ingredients:
· Vegetable or tomato juice
· Dried spice blend, such as the “cognitive spice blend” from Spice Apothecary, which is a mix of:
2P holy basil
1P rosemary
½ P turmeric
½ P mint
½ part thyme
1/8 P ginger
1/8 P lavender
Sea salt to taste
· Any fresh herbs you have on hand you want to add
· Veggies, such as cucumber, carrot, and celery
· Hot sauce, like Cholula, Frank’s or Tabasco or some black pepper
Directions:
Combine 2 cups of juice, 1 cup of diced veggies, 1-2 tablespoons of your spice blend and any fresh herbs you want to use in a blender. Blend until smooth (or as smooth as it gets). Place in the fridge for at least 2 hours to allow the dried herbs to soften. Add black pepper or hot sauce to taste, garnish as you wish, and enjoy!
